- Assisted on the investigative story, ‘They looked at us like an easy target’: Inside West Virginia’s opioid battle, led by Pulitzer-prize winning Washington Post journalist Debbie Cenziper
- Conducted interviews, research and reporting on how the opioid crisis is affecting families in West Virginia
- Wrote a story published by West Virginia University: Generation Opioids about babies exposed to opioids in utero that go through withdrawal and how the medical community has adapted to treat the growing number of cases.
The Solidarity Center – Communications Intern (June 2018 – August 2018)
- Wrote two articles and the daily newsletter to inform audiences on global labor practices
